The Dream wall
well, it's just some drabble i made inspired by the clear blue sky i watched when i walked home the other day, LOL.
“Can you paint the sky?”
a guy asked to a girl sat beside him.
“Are you kidding me? That’s
impossible!” the girl shrieked by the sudden question.
“I’m being serious you know. Why
not? We can paint the sky and use it as our dream wall…” the guy furrowed his
eyebrows and laid his body on the grass.
“Dream wall?” the girl muttered.
“Yeah…the wall where we can paint
our hopes and dreams and see them once we get our happiness,” he answered while
smiling widely, probably imagining the scene he’s thinking of.
“Our dream wall…can we make those
dreams become true?” The girl laughing
quietly.
“We’ll find out later.”
“What if something we’re dreaming of
just always be the dream then?” the girl whispered sadly and looked down to her
bare foot.
“Only God knows…the future we
believe we’ll have may turn out into different color,” the guy stared, half
smiling to the girl.
“Future? What kind of future that belong
to us? I wonder…” the girl puffed her cheeks and hugging her knees.
“The good one…maybe,” the guy
grinned.
The girl didn’t answer and just
stared blankly at the clear blue sky shining above them.
“Dude, do you have any idea about
why's life must be very difficult?” the girl suddenly spoke.
“Because when life is easy then God
shouldn’t have created us at the very first place,” the guy answered jokingly.
“But why did God should make it
difficult?”
“Because if it’s easy then we’ll
lose our passion and the strength needed to survive.”
The girl smiled weakly and punched
the guy’s arm playfully.
“Since when you’ve become so wise,
huh?”
“Since I met you!” the guy smirked
and winked.
“Oh c’mon…I even forget when did I
met a guy like you”
“How mean…” the guy pouted but laugh
nonetheless.
“Ah…about
what I said earlier, I was serious…let’s make our dream wall!”
“Though I thought it was weird, but
alright! Let’s make one…and paint our hopes and dreams one by one.”
“That’s right! Someday we’ll see
whether we can fulfill those dreams or not.”
It was their conversation years ago.
The girl smiled when she remember those memories. The weird thing that she once
laughing at years ago…becomes the precious one she has right now. Yes, right
now, when everything she dreaming of become true. The dream wall of hers, now
fully colored. She looked at the sky and painted a shape of hope…hope for
keeping all the memories she has.
